Alcohol CAUTION Tramadol may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Tramadol may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Tramadol is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Consult a doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness (more than usual), difficulty breastfeeding, breathing problems, or limpness. warnings Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Tramadol may cause side effects such as drowsiness and blurred vision. If this happens, do not drive. warnings Kidney CAUTION Tramadol should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease.
