How it works
It is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder completely and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in BPH.

This can cause dizziness or feeling like you might pass out, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position. warnings Pregnancy PROBABLY SAFE it is probably safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation CAUTION it is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving SAFE it does not usually affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney SAFE it is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of it is recommended. However, limited information is aVialable on the use of it in patients with end stage kidney disease.
