Zolpidem belongs to a group of medicines called sedative-hypnotics. It works by slowing activity of the nerve cells in the brain and helps fall asleep.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zolpidem may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol CAUTION Zolpidem may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Zolpidem may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Zolpidem is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Zolpidem is safe as per American Association of Pregnancy. warnings Driving Zolpidem may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive. warnings Kidney SAFE Zolpidem is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Zolpidem is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease. warnings Liver CAUTION Zolpidem should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zolpidem may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Zolpidem is generally started at a low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
