Silofast D 8 is a combination of two medicines: Silodosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Silodosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Silofast D 8 is to be taken with food. This will help to avoid the side effects.

warnings Alcohol CAUTION It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Silofast D 8. Taking Silodosin with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience a headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. warnings Pregnancy CAUTION Silofast D 8 is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the fetus. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation No information is aVialable on the use of Silofast D 8 during lactation. Please consult your doctor. warnings Driving Dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure may occur in some patients while on Silofast D 8. If you are affected in this way, your ability to drive may be impaired. warnings Kidney Silofast D 8 is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data aVialable suggests that dose adjustment of Silofast D 8 may not be needed in these patients. Use of Silofast D 8 is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
