How it works
This medicine is a combination of two medicines: Risperidone and Trihexyphenidyl/Benzhexol. Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic which works by balancing the levels of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) to improve mood, thoughts, and behavior. Trihexyphenidyl/Benzhexol is an anticholinergic which works on the nervous system and corrects some of the chemical imbalances that cause Parkinson's disease and certain side effects occurring during antipsychotic treatment.

Alcohol CAUTION It may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS It may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation CAUTION It is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well. It can cause blurring of vision, dizziness, mild nausea, and mental confusion in some cases. This may affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney CAUTION It should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of It may be needed.
