Epilan Tablet is a combination of two antiepileptic medicines: Phenobarbitone and Phenytoin. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Epilan Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Epilan Tablet. warnings Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Epilan Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor. warnings Breastfeeding CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Epilan Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Baby should be monitored for excessive sleepiness and weight gain. warnings Driving UNSAFE Epilan Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Epilan Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data aVialable suggests that dose adjustment of Epilan Tablet may not be needed in these patients.
