Crepe bandages aid in the compression stage. Tying the crepe bandage around the injured part will avoid further swelling and restrict movement of that part. Often, a wrong movement or twist could result in further strain on the muscle or tendon and increase complications. The bandage holds the area in place by providing support and protects it. However, the bandage must not be tied too tightly because that could restrict the blood circulation. If you feel increased pain or a tingling sensation, remove the crepe bandage and tie it again snugly
