Alcohol CAUTION It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Gliclazide. Alcohol intake may increase or decrease the blood sugar lowering action in an unpredictable way warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Gliclazide may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Gliclazide is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving SAFE Gliclazide does not usually affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney Gliclazide should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gliclazide may be needed. Please consult your doctor. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels with this medicine, which may take a long time to come back to normal warnings Liver Gliclazide should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease.
