This Medicine is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Ornidazole. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Ornidazole kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

ALCOHOL SAFE CONSUMING ALCOHOL WITH CEFIXIME DOES NOT CAUSE ANY HARMFUL SIDE EFFECTS. PREGNANCY SAFE IF PRESCRIBED CEFIXIME IS GENERALLY CONSIDERED SAFE TO USE DURING PREGNANCY. ANIMAL STUDIES HAVE SHOWN LOW OR NO ADVERSE EFFECTS TO THE DEVELOPING BABY; HOWEVER, THERE ARE LIMITED HUMAN STUDIES. LACTATION SAFE IF PRESCRIBED CEFIXIME IS SAFE TO USE DURING BREASTFEEDING. HUMAN STUDIES SUGGEST THAT THE DRUG DOES NOT PASS INTO THE BREASTMILK IN A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT AND IS NOT HARMFUL TO THE BABY. AVOID PROLONGED USE OFCEFIXIME, SINCE IT MAY HAVE POSSIBLE EFFECTS SUCH AS RASH AND DIARRHEA. DRIVING SAFE CEFIXIME DOES NOT USUALLY AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO DRIVE. KIDNEY CAUTION CEFIXIME SHOULD BE USED WITH CAUTION IN PATIENTS WITH KIDNEY DISEASE. DOSE ADJUSTMENT OFCEFIXIME MAY BE NEEDED. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR. LIVER CAUTION CEFIXIME SHOULD BE USED WITH CAUTION IN PATIENTS WITH LIVER DISEASE. DOSE ADJUSTMENT OFCEFIXIME MAY BE NEEDED. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR.
