Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Potassium Clavulanate. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.It is not known whether Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Cefexy-CV 200mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
